I used drugs to evade the abuse of my ex-husband – Actress Etinosa

Etinosa Idemudia, a Nollywood actress, has disclosed how she had to utilise illegal medications to dodge the assaults of her estranged spouse.

According to the actress, marrying at the age of 22 meant she was foolish, with her spouse proclaiming himself lord over her.

The actor revealed this in an interview with prominent media personality Chude Jideonwo.

She recalled how afraid she used to feel when her husband returned home.

“It [the domestic violence] came to the point where I was on drugs,” Etinosa explained. Whenever he [my ex-husband] came home, ordinarily a woman should be thrilled because her spouse is coming home, but I would just starched up and doped up so that no matter what he said, no matter what he did, I would look good, I’m not doing anything; I’m just staring at him. “Simply for the sake of peace.”

The Edo-born actress stated that she eventually divorced her spouse after her unending praying and fasting failed to change him.

“I was green, I didn’t know anything,” she explained. I used to be a mumu. I married when I was 22 years old. ‘I’m not your friend, I’m your lord,’ my ex-husband said.
