‘Ayinla,’ Movie By Tunde Kelani, Grosses Over N70 Million At The Box Office
Apala legend Ayinla Omowura’s life is chronicled in this film.
Fabenmedia Nigera reports that ‘Ayinla,’ a critically acclaimed film directed by Tunde Kelani, has grossed an amazing N70.49 million at the Nigerian box office which shows that the movie is widely viewed by movie watchers.
Despite its limited release (it was only released in 35 theaters) and language, the picture grossed an incredible amount in its fifth week, according to CEAN. The film is made in a Nigerian language that is local to the country.
‘Ayinla,’ produced by Jade Osiberu Greoh Studios, follows the events leading up to the tragic death of Apala legend Ayinla Omowura.
Kunle Afolayan, Debo Macaroni, Bimbo Manuel, Bimbo Ademoye, Ade Laoye, and Omowunmi Dada feature alongside Lateef Adedimeji as the title character.
On June 18, the picture was released to critical praise in theaters.
